Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Blood Pressure at Pizza Hut

Fast-food restaurants like Pizza Hut are not recommended to dine-in if you are diagnosed with high blood pressure. Most pizzas at Pizza Hut are high in sodium and hence you must stick to one or max. two slices of any regular size pizza to limit your sodium intake. Try out the salads as they are not only healthy but also keeps you full for a longer period. However, you must ensure that you don't order the salads without any extra dressing.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for High Cholesterol

Keep your pizza intake to one slice to avoid high cholesterol intake while you dine at Pizza Hut. Skip Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice as it contains a high amount of fat and the sodium levels are also very high. Avoid the desserts section completely to limit the fat and sugar intake. You can also limit yourself from ordering non-veg pizza and skip adding sides or dressing on your orders to ensure that your cholesterol is in check while dining at Pizza Hut.

This was one of the worst Pizza Hut experience ever. I went there with a client of mine and her 3 children. We had high expectations of eating here and we were sorely mistaken. We ordered our pizza (10 dollars for a 3-topping.. No problems there). So because we were on a tight budget, I asked could we get a pitcher of water to drink. I was told they didn't have pitchers and that we would have to use "paper" cups from the soda fountain! I was appalled. The lady taking the orders didn't even seem bothered by my change in attitude. Fast forward to our food.. The pizza was served in a box!! Not a pizza stone with the spatula! I couldn't believe it. I was under the impression that if you dine in somewhere, you are supposed to get real cutlery (we got plastic) and dishes (plastic plates and cups). If you are a restaurant with a "dine in" area, the least you could do is use the dishwasher when the patron is done eating. However the pizza was good & fresh, so that's why they got the -1 extra star rating.. Never Again.. With or Without a Client!!

Yeah, it's Pizza Hut. Faintly crisp crust edge, typical grease level on bottom, limp dough. I'm more annoyed by the meager amount of cheese, I've never seen any chain location skimp this badly.

I actually used to love ordering from this location, but after a few years I am extremely disappointed. I ordered 2 pizzas for delivery last night at 6pm for a party with a few of my friends. After an hour, everyone started wondering where the food was at. So I called and asked what the estimated time was and they said 8:45pm. It does not take almost three hours to make a pizza and deliver it. So we called back around 7pm and decided to cancel. Then the guy had the audacity to call me back and lie to me and say that the pizza is actually on the road and he doesn't know when it'll arrive. So we still went ahead and canceled it. Then we ordered papa johns which actually came in 45 minutes. Moral of the story: Don't ever order deliver from this location.

This was my 3rd time ordering and another terrible experience. Ordered from the app. Got there when order was supposed to be ready, but had to wait an extra 25 minutes and then my order was messed up. I asked for pretzel crust and got regular. As i waited, I was able to make several observations. The staff have poor communication and teamwork. One employee has their pants down with their butt hanging out (#unprofessional). Other customers we were also waiting longer than expected had to continuously go and ask if their order was ready only to find that it had been sitting in the warmer all along. I listened as they tried to explain to another customer that they had given their order to the wrong person. Three tries, three strikes. Do not plan on ordering from here ever again!

I think the last time I ate at a Pizza Hut was about 18 yrs ago. I recall at that time that actual humans served me pizza at a table and there was a salad bar and such. That meal was so tasty that it took me 18 yrs to return to a Pizza Hut. Today's visit was more out of a need for expedience. I ordered a simple personal pizza with some veggie toppings. Apparently, it also came topped with the tears of my Italian grandmother and grated regret. The best I can say about this pizza is that it didn't actually taste bad. It just didn't really taste like much of anything. It was effective sustenance, much like Soylent Green. That earns the one star. You could easily make this pizza at home by simply topping a few layers of damp paper towel with some canned no-salt tomato sauce. But don't top it with cheese. That would actually be too strong of a flavor. I recommend tearing up bits of plastic wrap. Now microwave it for 1 minute and enjoy! You just saved yourself $4.99!

Such a disgusting pizza hut. After calling in our order, 10 minutes later we decided to just go in and wait rather than sit outside and wait for it. First thing, dirty, disgusting all around. The cashier, who was also the one answering phones looked like he was drunk. Had his buttons only buttoned half way down. Was really sloppy and gross looking. Then the carry out driver, he comes out with a pizza bag and a single slice of pizza on top of the bag while also holding a slice in his mouth. He ends up dropping the pizza on the bag on the floor and picks it up amd throws it back on top. I was horrified. Who does that? At work? Anyways, almost an hour later, my pizza is done, I grab it and leave. Stopped by 7/11 right across for 5 mins and then ended up going to the liquor store right next door and who do I see? The pizza boy cashier! I vowed to never go to that location ever again. Kalakas!

Its strange most pizza huts need serious reform for customer service. I called for a delivery, it showed up over an hour later. When I called wondering where the pizza was, the manager said it was out for delivery and that I should have more respect for the store, traffic and cook time. It was a tuesday night, how much traffic could there be? Anyways Ive never had a good experience with this store. Shut this place down.

I called on a Sunday afternoon to place an order for carry out, a single topping pizza. The man answering the phone was very curt and said 45 minutes for a wait time. I asked, for carry out? He said yes. I hung up and waited about three minutes before deciding that 45 minutes was too long and I'd get something elsewhere. I called back and nicely explained that I had just called and wanted to cancel. The same man gruffly said "your pizza is in the oven, and your calling to cancel!?" I said, you just told me 45 minutes less than 5 minutes ago. He then hung up on me. I won't call this location again.

Not all Pizza Hut locations are the same there are locations that give the franchise a really bad name. This location on Old Columbia Pike is excellent at making a pizza (toppings) and getting the pizza to my door. However, I ordered a pizza at work and had to order from the location on 16th street Silver Spring and was totally disgusted with the way the pizza was made. So, I have to give kudos to the Old Columbia Rd location for doing a great job thus far!

Zero stars. Aside from the extremely slow delivery time that everyone has already mentioned, this store is FOUL. Dirty and greasy and the employees are not friendly or well groomed. Cashiers and make line staff wander around the restaurant chomping on gum- blatantly walking past tables that need to be cleaned off- even when the place is empty. Call the Papa Johns in this area. They deliver and they are everything this Pizza Hut is not.

I received an email from pizzahut.com about a, 1 large 1-topping pizza for $5.99, dine-in only. The coupon specifically states "Print this email or show phone to server to receive this special offer." I visited this location with my 9 year old nice who was visiting our of town for a quick bite before heading to the pool for swimming, and of course to take advantage of this great deal. As I proceeded to the counter to ask about seating I was told that this location was self-service, that they had no servers, and that I would have to order at the counter, seat myself & get my own food/drinks. Now I know the different between a carryout/delivery Pizza Hut vs a sit down and eat-in Pizza Hut restaurant, and the setup of this location is definitely a sit down and eat because of the large dining room. Before ordering my pizza I told the manager Jose (who seemed to be the only employee working there on a Saturday afternoon) about the coupon, showed it to him on my phone and he told me he could not accept it because it wasn't printed. He suggested I go home print it and come back despite what the coupon said.I told him I had no printer at home and that the coupon lstates I can show it to you on my phone. Not only did he refuse to honor my Pizza Hut coupon but he was extremely rude. I am shocked that this person is a manager. At one point he stated "I can't help you" & retreated to the back to avoid answering anymore of my questions. When I asked for his District Manager's name and phone I was told by Jose that he didn't have it and that I'd have to get it off the website. I will say this, he did give me the store number, even though i could have retrieved it from the website as well. This is UNACCEPTABLE! Within a 3-4miles radius there is also a Little Caesar's, Papa Johns, Dominos, another Pizza Hut, and a few non-chain pizzerias. One would think that this location would be a little more respectable and value their customers. As a long time pizza hut consumer I was very disappointed by this location. Let me please state that I have ordered carryout and delivery from this location before and the pizza was good, like most pizza hut pizza I've had. This review is base solely on my individual poor customer service experience.

Looks like a normal Pizza Hut, but it's been converted inside to a Pizza Delivery Dispatch Office. Yeah, there are a couple of tables left, but your dining experience is one step above eating out of the box on the hood of your car in the parking lot. The pizza, however, was standard pretty good Pizza Hut pizza.

This is the worst location I have ever encountered in my life. These bastards not only delivered the pizza late (it took an hour and 20 mins when online said 45mins) but the damn pizza was cold. I spoke to the manager and he was a complete asshole. Never order from this location they suck and they are extremely rude!!

If I could give this Pizza Hut no stars I would. The manger would not honor the $10 hand toss, any topping, any size after I was told that they had that special. Then he told me I'm asking for too many topping his system only allows a certain out. I found this strange when I was asking for a supreme pizza with the veggies on 1/2.. I asked for his regional manager information and Eric (manager) refused to give it to me. Told me to fill out a complaint online and hung up. I couldn't believe it. I will never patronize this location again. I may just stick with Ledo's all together.

If I could give zero stars, I would! We ordered a pizza yesterday at 5:30pm and knew since it was Friday that it might take awhile. At 7pm my husband called and was told they would be there in 6 mins. At 7:20pm he called again and demanded a refund. The driver finally showed up at 7:30 and thankfully our pizza was free. However, upon inspecting the pizza we discovered that it wasn't ours. The driver just shrugged his shoulders and went to his car. We decided to eat in anyway and each put 2 pieces in our plates. Then there was a knock on the door. The driver found our pizza and wanted the other one back because it was for another delivery. We had touched it already and he took it back!!!! What!?!? We are going to call health services on that one! Someone else got a pizza last night that we had already touched. We ARE NEVER ordering from them again!

If I could give no stars I would. I ordered a 3 cheese stuffed crust pizza at 7:45pm & they told me 45 minutes to an hour. An hour and 10 minutes pass by so I call to see where my pizza is and I'm told "oh they're heading out now!" Okay whatever? Fast forward to 9:30 & I'm just getting my pizza. What exactly takes so long? I call to speak to the manager because i really don't feel like an almost 2 hour delivery time is acceptable when the Pizza Hut it 5 minutes up the street & I'm put on hold for 6 minutes. I would've just went to pick it up if I wasn't babysitting. Won't ever order from here again. Oh btw the pizza was cold when I got it, thanks Pizza Hut!

Having ordered from this establishment several times, the service has been mediocre at best. During a recent attempt to place an order however, I was very disappointed. I hoped to order several personal pan pizzas and wings for a party and was told they would not deliver them despite the fact that the order would far exceed the minimum order. Since they don't need my business, I will find someone who does.

I've tasted better frozen pizza. Pizza hut used to be a giant in the industry at one time. When they cut their price and they cut quality. This location is a dump. Zero star's.

I don't even know why I am bothering to write this review, because i highly doubt anyone looking through Yelp reviews for pizza is going to bother reading the reviews for Pizza Hut. However, I just can't help but complain about the terrible service I just received here. 1. I ordered online for home delivery. My order was received at 6:40 PM, and the auto-generated delivery time was 7:20. That seemed fair, if a bit generous. When I order delivery pizza, I expect to get my pizza within 45 minutes, max. After a little over an hour, just when I was about to call the restaurant to see what the hold-up was, my order was finally delivered. 2. The driver arrived at my door and basically grunted at me. The only thing he actually said was "It's all in the box," everything else was a series of grunts. No "Good evening," no "Here's your food," no "You're welcome." I don't expect my pizza delivery people to be shining examples of stellar customer service, but come on, how hard is it to say, "Hello," and "Sign here, please"? 3. I carried the box into my kitchen and started plating up my food. The pasta was hot (good), the bread sticks were present, the cheese sticks were there...but wait, no marinara sauce? With both bread sticks and cheese sticks I got no marinara sauce? I distinctly remembered the cheese sticks being listed on the website as "cheese sticks with marinara sauce." I was going to let it go, but have you ever tried to eat a cheese stick without marinara sauce? The sauce is 3/4ths of the point of a cheese stick, at least for me. So I called Pizza Hut on the phone to see if they could rectify the situation. My phone call was answered with, "Briggs Chaney Pizza Hut, can you hold please?" I started to say, "I just have a quick question--" but I was already on hold. I called back twice more and was immediately put on hold again both times. By the time I finally talked to someone, ten minutes had elapsed, which means the delivery driver was now well out of my neighborhood. The man I spoke to tried to convince me that marinara sauce didn't come with my order, and that I had to order it separately at a cost of 50 cents a container. I told him that I understood it wasn't supposed to come with my bread sticks (because those came as a side with my pasta; I understand that) but that it specifically said online that the cheese sticks come with marinara sauce. He kept arguing with me, saying that I should have noticed I needed to pay extra for sauce. I am 100% positive it said the cheese sticks come with marinara sauce. Seriously, what kind of shitty restaurant doesn't offer One. Single. Measly. Cup. of complimentary marinara sauce with its cheese sticks? I honestly couldn't believe that this guy had the audacity to argue with me over a freakin' cup of sauce (to be fair, I suppose he couldn't believe that I had the audacity to call about a freakin' cup of sauce...). He finally got fed up with me, I guess, and said, "Okay, if one of our drivers comes back to your area, I will have him drop off some sauce." Uh...thanks? This conversation occurred almost half an hour ago and the sauce has yet to arrive, so I'm not going to hold my breath. I guess I will be throwing away an order of inedible cheese sticks. And since I gave the restaurant a chance to rectify their mistake and they didn't remotely try to make the situation better, I'll definitely be ordering from somewhere else in the future. Anywhere else in town has to be better than this place.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
